On the program Con Maduro+ during a visit to the state of Carabobo, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro highlighted the progress of the quality of care provided to patients suffering from hemophilia thanks to the policies that the federal government has implemented despite sanctions and economic warfare.
This information was provided in the Más Salud segment, where the Minister of Popular Power for Health, Magaly Gutiérrez, highlighted that the production of medicines for hemophilia, such as Factor 8, recombinant Factor 8, albumin, immunoglobulin, will be carried out through Quimbiotec Venezuela, since “they are necessary medicines for the sovereignty and independence of any country in the world.”
Minister Gutiérrez pointed out: “our great task is to recover the capacity (…) we are guaranteeing by access to treatment for our patients, over the next two years. 100% guaranteed.”

The president assured that the goal in the next two years is to have the technical-scientific capacity to produce medicines in the country. He urged coordination with the Venezuelan Hemophilia Association so that they coordinate compliance with the commitments that must be assumed to guarantee these medicines.
Last Friday, the Minister of Popular Power for Health announced, through her official Instagram account, the arrival in the country of 70,583 high-cost medicines, intended for oncology and hemophilia patients.
These medicines will be distributed nationwide through the network of pharmacies of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security, which guarantees that patients throughout the country can benefit from this initiative.
