Venezuelan Cocoa Wins Recognition of Excellence at the Paris Chocolate Salon

Venezuelan cocoa was recognized in the “Le Salon du Chocolat”, as a fruit of excellence, during the international chocolate festival held in Paris (France), which brings together the best internationally renowned chocolate masters from different parts of the world .
“Venezuela won the certificate of recognition for the cocoa presented, as one of the best in the world and Latin America, for its exquisite aroma, excellent wood and fruit,” said the president of the CorporaciĂłn Socialista del Cacao Venezolano SA, who attended the chocolate exhibition, Gabriel Arocha.
He indicated that the samples chosen and evaluated by teachers, artisans of chocolate and producers from all countries, was the one presented by the Community Council “Vuelta Redonda” -Sector Caño Gautan, of the Páez municipality of the Apure state.

Arocha specified that the Bolivarian government sent five samples from the cocoa areas of the country, which were selected as some of the best in the world and in Latin America; Cocoa from the South of the Lake, Zulia state and the cocoa from Miranda, with honorary recognition for good agricultural practices.
He also stressed that this activity answers the call of President Nicolás Maduro, to actively participate in the re-launch of the productive economy, through work on the 15 engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda, so that Venezuela “reaches the standards as an exporting country of consumer goods to the region and the rest of the world.”

The Chocolate Salon is held every year between the end of October and the beginning of November in Paris, and brings together chocolatiers, confectioners, professionals from the chocolate industry, as well as producers, great chefs, designers and cocoa experts gather to show the public their culinary skills.
On this occasion, the chocolate lounge celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary and will last until November 3, 2019, with the participation of more than 700 exhibitors, as reviewed by the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs.
