Healthcare personnel in the Venezuelan state of La Guaira are providing medical attention to 190 Venezuelans who were recently repatriated from the US through the Return to the Homeland Plan, reported Venezuelan Health Minister Magaly Gutiérrez.
The minister specified that the repatriates are all undergoing “medical, epidemiological, psychological, and nutritional evaluations, as part of the preventive health protocol, to rule out the presence of viral or endemic communicable diseases.”
She added that these procedures are an initiative launched by the government to reinforce the “commitment to the protection and welfare of Venezuelans who return to the country in search of new opportunities.”
On Monday, February 10, these 190 Venezuelans arrived in two planes of the national airline Conviasa, flying from the United States.
