CNE Reports High Turnout in Voter Registration-Update Days for December 6 Parliamentary Elections

July 24, 2020

This Thursday Tania D ‘Amelio, one of the five main directors of the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Venezuela, highlighted the high attendance of citizens in the special days of the Electoral Registry (RE), for the registration and modification of data by those who wish to participate in the legislative elections on December 6. She stressed that transparency and participation are guaranteed. The process will continue until July 26 at 551 registration points across the country.

“The Venezuelan Electoral Power will fully guarantee that these parliamentary elections are transparent and also participatory. I consider and evaluate that there is high participation in the days of the Electoral Registry, and even in registration, relocations and modifications, so I think that at this time it is important to highlight it,” said the rector when interviewed in the show “Coffee in the Morning,” broadcast by Venezolana de Television (VTV).

On Monday, July 13, the Special Electoral Registration Day began, with the activation of 551 Registration and Update Centers throughout the country. It will be open to voters and new voters until this Sunday, July 26.

The sessions are carried out in due compliance with all biosafety protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

D ‘Amelio reiterated that 107 political organizations are summoned for the next elections, at the same time she invited the voters to visit the page www.cne.gob.ve on August 8, where the updated electoral registry will be published preliminary so that voters can verify their data by themselves.
