The paramilitary group ACSN was initially known as Clan Pachenca. This derives from the pseudonym of its founder Jesús Aguirre Gallego, who in the paramilitary world was known as Chucho Mercancía or Chucho Pachenca.
Currently, the ACSN is involved in a protracted armed inter-gang struggle with the infamous drug-trafficking gang Clan del Golfo, which dates back to the early 2000s with the rise of Chucho Pachenca and the ACSN’s Oficina del Caribe.
