Elliott Abrams: Trump Appoints man who Backed Death Squads in Latin America to 'Oversee Democracy Efforts' in Venezuela

Donald Trump has announced that Elliott Abrams, a man who supported the use of death squads in Latin America (Iran-Contras), will lead the US’s efforts to “press for democracy” in Venezuela.

Senator Marco Rubio, the most active congressist pushing for “regime change” in Venezuela showed his satisfaction for the appointment in his twitter account.
