A press release from the Ministry of Interior Relations, Justice and Peace reported that 315 Venezuelan migrants returned to the country from Mexico, on a flight of the migrant repatriation program Return to the Homeland Plan.
On Thursday, May 29, 95 women, 74 men, and 146 children landed at the SimĂłn BolĂvar International Airport in MaiquetĂa, La Guaira state.
The Venezuelan authorities are providing them with the necessary attention in terms of security and health, guaranteeing their human rights and facilitating their reintegration to the Venezuelan social and economic life.
Thanks to the actions of the Venezuelan government, it has been possible to reunite the repatriates with their families.
Migrants comply with health protocols
Once they return to the country, Venezuelan migrants are attended by a multidisciplinary team made up of 150 health professionals who conduct medical, epidemiological and nutritional evaluations, providing immediate assistance.
After complying with the migration protocols, the repatriates undergo a series of medical examinations that include the registration and measurement of vital signs, general evaluation, specialized attention in gynecology and obstetrics, vaccination, and blood screening to detect transmissible diseases.
The Return to the Homeland Plan also provides legal advice, physical and mental health well being and psychosocial support, in order to help all compatriots to cope with the difficulties they may have faced abroad and during the return process.
