MarĂa Corina Machado’s role as a far-right opposition leader met with disapproval from 64.6% of Venezuelans according to a study by the polling firm Datanálisis.
The poll, published by political scientist Pablo AndrĂ©s Quintero, shows that the discontent is mainly linked to Machado’s position on the national dialogue.
Within the negative perceptions, the largest number of respondents (26.5%) described her role as “very bad,” while 20.3% defined it as “bad”, and only 17.8% considered it average with a tendency towards bad.
El descalabro de la credibilidad y popularidad de MarĂa Corina Machado en Venezuela obliga a realizar un sondeo de opiniĂłn en Estados Unidos. Esto luego de que a más de un año, solo se evidencia un profundo estancamiento.

With these disapproval ratings, MarĂa Corina Machado ranks 10 points below the previous general popularity rating, reflecting a decline in public perception of her leadership, which has been characterized by an adherence to the US political agenda and a refusal to participate in the dialogue process promoted by the Venezuelan government.
In fact, only 18.6% of those surveyed by Datanálisis expressed a favorable opinion, and only 5.7% considered her as “good”, while 9.7% rated her as “fair-to-good.”
Although technical details have not been released, the report is circulating amid growing unity around President Nicolás Maduro’s government and increasing criticism of the extremist sector of the Venezuelan opposition.
Anti-Chavista Pollster Chief: Venezuela Does Not Support Foreign Military Intervention
Venezuelan authorities have repeatedly condemned MarĂa Corina Machado’s for her links to destabilization plots uncovered this year. These events were planned to attempt to generate violence and sow discord and insecurity in Venezuela and were planned at the request of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Machado, who in 2018 called on Israel to intervene militarily in Venezuela—also received a 92% disapproval rate among respondents in the national Dataviva survey, another report that confirms the Venezuelan people’s defense of their national sovereignty.
