The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) for defeating perfidy, division, conspiracy, and imperialism.
He made this statement at an official event in honor of the FANB at the Ayacucho Monument in Tiuna Fort, Caracas, on Saturday, December 28. He stressed that there must be coherence between thought, word, discourse, action, and result. “We have our own military thought, together with a Venezuelan military doctrine, written by Commander Hugo Chávez himself,” he said.
The commander-in-chief of the FANB reported that this year, the armed forces conducted 33 strategic operations throughout Venezuela’s territory and 189 operational tactical deployments where the entire FANB structure participated, accompanied by the fighters of the Bolivarian National Militia. “We can say: victory in the territory,” he stated.
President Maduro also recognized the work of the FANB in the fight against criminal gangs, drug traffickers, and Colombian paramilitaries.
In this regard, he highlighted the work of the Bolivarian Military Aviation, that detected a drug trafficking incursion in the northwestern coasts of Falcón state. In record time and in strict compliance with the law and the Constitution, the aviation officials acted and neutralized said incursion.
He also highlighted the fight against illegal mining and destruction of national parks, as well as the fight against criminal gangs, such as the Tren de Aragua and the Tren del Llano that are being financed and armed by the US empire and the fascist right-wing in an attempt to take territorial control of vital states. He highlighted the constant patrolling by the FANB to protect strategic and vital objectives of the country from all threats.
In this regard, President Maduro presented medals to officers for their outstanding work in the conduct of military operations aimed at safeguarding the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the country.
Highlighting the work of the FANB to protect the nation from threats and dangers, President Maduro said, “I am very proud of the role played by the military officers in the brave defense of the Homeland.”
He stressed that the FANB has its own military thought and doctrine, but “I insist more and more on the leadership of example, of the morale of all officers and military chiefs, from the highest commands to the most modest military units of the country.”

Ayacucho Plan
President Maduro instructed the FANB to meticulously carry out the Ayacucho Plan for the 2025-2030 period.
“We have to guarantee with creativity, initiative, and honesty that the FANB conducts, step by step, the Ayacucho Plan that is part of the 7T Plan, which will be received on January 10 by the National Assembly to be transformed into an Organic Law of the Republic to continue the progress on all fronts,” he announced.
In this regard, he commented on the importance of having a plan. “We should know very well the importance of having a strategy, a plan, and how important it is to advance firmly and simultaneously on all fronts towards the great national objective: to achieve prosperity, development and maximum social happiness, with our own effort.”
Bolivarian Shield Operation
President Maduro congratulated the FANB for the Bolivarian Shield Operation, which is active 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to safeguard territorial and national peace.
He explained that the Bolivarian Shield Operation shifted from local military exercises to permanent surveillance operations, “because Venezuela has very perverse and evil enemies, not just the one in the north, virulent, imperialist and perverse, but what is worse is that there are Trojan horses that join the intrigue and sow fascist hatred and division. These forces have been widely defeated during the 25 years of revolution, but they persist as a threat.”
Likewise, the combat continues against illegal mining as well as against criminal gangs such as Tren del Llano and Tren de Aragua, “which are instruments financed and armed by the US empire and the fascist right-wing to try to take territorial control in areas of the country.”
