The Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) is conducting technical analyses of the voting records and associated electoral material of the July 28 presidential elections. On Friday, August 16, in the Expert Appraisal Area of the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ, technicians continued with the appraisal of the electoral records submitted by the former presidential candidates and the representatives of the political organizations that participated in the election.
The technical analysis consists of transcribing the results reflected in the tally sheets of each political party and evaluating the voting records.
In a video broadcast by the public media outlet VTV, it could be observed that the electoral materials, kept in sealed boxes, are opened by authorized experts who are uniformed and wearing gloves for handling the material.

After the experts complete the corresponding analysis, they will issue a report, which must be validated with the data provided by the total of the National Electoral Council (CNE) counting system.
The technical analysis process is being supervised by the Electoral Chamber magistrates.
The team of experts is comprised of Venezuelan and foreign personnel specialized in statistics and computer science.

In addition, national and international observers from organizations such as the Council of Electoral Experts of Latin America (CEELA) and the Observatory of Strategic Thinking for Regional Integration are participating in the process.
It is estimated that the technical analysis conducted on the electoral material will also assist the Supreme Court in verifying the damages caused to the CNE system by the massive cyberattack on its transmission system that occurred on July 29-30.
The analysis of the voting records is part of the legal procedure for the electoral contentions appeal filed before the Electoral Chamber by President Nicolás Maduro on August 3.
On Thursday, August 15, TSJ President Magistrate Caryslia Rodríguez announced that the Electoral Chamber will proceed to issue a ruling once the technical analysis is completed.
