The international network of the BRICS countries, TV BRICS, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Latin American multi-state news outlet teleSUR to continue working on the expansion of the BRICS+ network of media partners in Latin America.
The executive director of TV BRICS Media Network, Janna Tolstikova, announced that “TV BRICS International Network sees the beginning of our cooperation with teleSUR as a strategic move, aiming to promote the Latin American and BRICS international agenda by joining forces and employing each other’s capabilities to further strengthen and expand multilateral ties between the peoples and countries of BRICS and the Global South.”
The president of teleSUR, Patricia Villegas, stated that the two media organizations “need to be more open to working together and seeking common ground for the benefit of all humanity.”
“The teleSUR and TV BRICS alliance is a step towards the multipolar world we are fighting for,” Villegas said. “We will continue to move toward this goal together.”
The TV BRICS multimedia platform, created in 2017 as a joint initiative by the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa), broadcasts the respective countries’ original content through both a television channel and a webpage.
