Venezuela’s Public Prosecutor’s Office reported in a statement that as part of the ongoing verification process of the investigations it is carrying out, particularly those related to the violent actions carried out after the electoral process of July 28, 2024, a new group of people received procedural benefits from the Venezuelan courts.
The statement reported that 110 requests for review of measures were made on February 28 by detainees held in connection with the post-election violence.
In a statement, the Public Prosecutor’s Office reaffirmed that the process was carried out “within the framework of respect and unrestricted observance of the principles and guarantees enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic.”

The Public Prosecutor’s Office announces that as part of the ongoing process of verification of the investigations it is carrying out, highlighting those linked to the violent and criminal actions carried out after the electoral process of July 28, it has determined, in full coordination with the Judiciary, a new group of people to receive procedural benefits.
In this regard, on February 28, 2025, 110 reviews of measures were requested, which, added to those that have been processed and reported in previous communications, brings the total number to 2,006 releases granted to date, within the framework of respect and unrestricted observance of the principles and guarantees enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic.
