Venezuela sent its first batch of humanitarian aid to Lebanon and Syria, consisting of almost 14 tons of medicines, food, and other supplies.
In solidarity with the peoples of the Middle East, Venezuela established a collection center in the Salvador Allende Hall of the Foreign Ministry in Caracas.
The first shipment of humanitarian aid will be divided between Lebanon and Syria. In Syria, the aid is to be provided to the Lebanese people displaced by the Zionist aggression in southern Lebanon.
The products collected include non-perishable food, clothing, blankets, baby formula, and diapers, as well as tools for removing debris, such as shovels, glasses, and safety gloves.

The shipment left on Friday, October 11, from Simón Bolívar International Airport in La Guaira, in a mission which was led by the deputy minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tatiana Pugh.
Pugh said that the purpose of this aid is “to try to alleviate a little the suffering of the people who are being massacred.”
“Today is a day in which we are demonstrating, once again, our solidarity, our love, our significant respect for the Arab people,” she said.
She also thanked the Venezuelan people who responded to the call for help, for their “solidarity and loving response.”
The Lebanese ambassador to Venezuela, Elías Lebbos, thanked the Venezuelan state for its initiative and highlighted the “rapid response of the Lebanese, Syrian and Venezuelan community.”
On October 1, the Zionist entity launched a ground invasion of southern Lebanon following massive air strikes in September, which have left more than 1,000 dead, including children and women.
