Venezuelan Army Neutralizes Five “Los Rastrojos” Paramilitary Group Members

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces ( FANB ) struck another blow against the Los Rastrojos paramilitary gang in Táchira state, by neutralizing five of its members that generated anxiety for our farmers and merchants in the area.

The information was released by Táchira state protector, Freddy Bernal, who through his Twitter account @FreddyBernal, posted that the events occurred in the Peronilo de Colón sector, Ayacucho municipality of the Andean state, where material destined for smuggling and extortion was found.

Bernal congratulated the FANB for its arduous fight against Colombian paramilitarism. “Without rest, we continue to fight the criminals that operate on the border! (…) We continue in permanent combat against criminal structures. We are advancing in the protection of the tranquility of the population, producers and merchants of Táchira, ”he said.
