Foreign Minister of Venezuela Yván Gil has condemned the fact that the Israeli settler state supports “fascist criminals” in Venezuela and trains them in its “violent practices.” The Venezuelan top diplomat made the statements this Thursday, September 5, in response to a press release from Tel Aviv, in which the Zionist entity expressed its support for the former candidate of the far-right opposition, Edmundo González.
In its press release, the colonial occupation entity—in a blatant display of interference in sovereign Venezuelan judiciary decisions—details its condemnation of the arrest warrant against González and repeats the false claims that he received the most votes in the July 28 presidential election.
“These are the ones who are carrying out the largest genocide known since World War II,” Gil recalled in light of the human rights atrocities that Israel is waging in Palestine and especially the Gaza Strip, which has left more than 50,000 Palestinians dead, most of them women and children.
In a post on his Telegram channel, he described the Zionist colony as “war criminals, murderers of children and women, international criminals, who support fascist criminals in Venezuela.”
“We know that the Zionists support the Venezuelan far right, finance it and train it in its violent practices. We defeated them anyway, they will not prevail. Zionism will not pass in Venezuela. We are humanists here and we abhor their hatred and wickedness,” the foreign minister added.
US censorship against RT and Sputnik
On Wednesday, the Venezuelan government rejected the new sanctions imposed by the White House against Russian media outlets Sputnik and RT, according to a social media post by the Minister for Communication and Information Freddy Ñáñez.
“From Venezuela, we categorically reject this dictatorial measure by the United States and we stand in solidarity with the directors of Sputnik, RT, their journalists and workers,” wrote Ñáñez, while pointing out that this action only constitutes the policy of sanctions that the US empire applies to free countries, “in addition to being illegal, it represents the decline of its past hegemony.”
“These criminal measures go beyond the economic. Today we see how sanctions are being extended to curtail freedom of expression around the world,” he added.
