The foreign affairs minister of Venezuela, Yván Gil, shared images of the façade of the Yellow House (Casa Amarilla Antonio JosĂ© de Sucre) in Caracas illuminated with the colors of the Palestinian flag in honor of that people’s suffering at the hands of the Israeli genocide since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation in October 7, 2023.
FM Gil stated that “in honor of the brave people of Palestine, who have been fighting for more than 75 years against the colonial and genocidal project of Israel, backed by the United States and Europe, we have illuminated the Yellow House with the colors of their flag, which will one day fly freely in their land.”
Casa Amarilla Antonio JosĂ© de Sucre, or “the Yellow House,” is the headquarters of Venezuela’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The colors of the Palestinian flag are black, which symbolizes the permanent mourning for the Palestinian martyrs; white, representing the purity of the Palestinian hearts; green, which corresponds to the fertility of the Palestinian land; and red, which symbolizes the blood shed by the people in defense of their homeland.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters is located in front of Plaza BolĂvar in Caracas. It was designated a National Historic Monument in 1979. Today, along with a newly built complex two blocks away, it is where diplomatic and cultural activities are carried out,
