The meeting was held during the 43rd Regular Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The meeting was held amid tensions between both countries, after Maduro’s government decided to suspend TAP Porgugal Airlines operations for 90 days in Venezuelan territory due security irregularities connected with deputy Guaidó’s arrival in Venezuela last February 11th.
Guaido’s name was not on the passenger list of TAP’s flight and liquid explosives were found in Guaido’s uncle belongings according to Venezuelan authorities.
