A delegation of theĀ Government of the Republic of Nicaraguathat is in Beijing to attend theĀ IX Ministerial Meeting of the China Forum ā CELAC,Ā signed on Sunday, May 11, a series of contracts with Chinese companies, strengthening cooperation with theĀ Peopleās RepublicĀ ofĀ China.
A contract was signed with the companies ZMJ/Huawei for aĀ Digital Connectivity ProjectĀ to strengthen telecommunications in Nicaragua, a contract with the company of International Communications Services of China (CCSI) for the installation ofĀ intelligent logistics management platformsĀ at the Julia Herrera Logistics Center in Corinto, a contract with theĀ company Yutong for the supply ofĀ buses and municipal cleaning machinery;Ā and a contract with the company Poly Technologies for the supply ofĀ equipment for the Nicaraguan Army to strengthen the defense of sovereignty and peace.

In addition to signing the documents, the Nicaraguan delegation held meetings with the Chinese companies Huadian and PowerChina with which theĀ Tumarin and Mojolka hydroelectric projectsĀ are working; and with companies of the Nicaragua/China Chamber of Commerce for the development ofĀ mining, banking, industrial and commercial exchange projects.
The Nicaraguan delegation is made up of Presidential Advisor Laureano Ortega Murillo, Foreign Minister Valdrack Jaentschke, President of the Central Bank Ovidio Reyes, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Oscar Mojica, Inspector General of the Army of Nicaragua Gral. Marvin Corrales, Director of INATEC Loyda Barreda, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Javier Gutiérrez, Director of Financial Markets of the MHCP Carlos Selva and Ambassador to China, Ramiro Cruz.
