Aug 20, 2020.- The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, reported this Thursday that the Public Ministry is making progress in the investigation of the disappearance of the professor and revolutionary leader Carlos Lanz. Through his official account on Twitter, he detailed that the department has carried out more than 30 inquiries to date to clarify the fact.
He stressed that among the efforts carried out are a technical inspection and photographic coverage of the site of the event, as well as an analysis of the telephone data

Similarly, the Attorney General stated that interviews were conducted with 20 close associates of Professor Carlos Lanz, the corresponding notification to Interpol, and various technical inspections were carried out.

It was also reported that the respective official letters were sent to public bodies, since people who appear in telephone traces on the day of Carlos Lanz’s disappearance were questioned.

Tarek William Saab also asserted that the videos obtained around the investigation are being evaluated. “We will continue to report on the progress of the investigation,” the prosecutor reiterated.

For his part, Alex Lanz, son of the disappeared revolutionary leader, responded to Saab’s messages stating : โMy family has witnessed the work of the prosecution and the security and investigation agencies, we appreciate it. We continue in the search with the support of different political organizations and social movements. #WewantCarlosLanzAlive.”
