The former president of Colombia, Álvaro Uribe Vélez, in complicity with leaders of the Venezuelan ultra-right, are orchestrating a violent maneuver to assassinate the head of state, Nicolás Maduro, and leaders of the Bolivarian Revolution.
The complaint was made by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, from the Boyacá room of the Miraflores Palace, located in Caracas, specifying that the plan has the participation of the Colombian ambassador from the United States (USA), Francisco Santos, and with the fugitive of Venezuelan justice, Lester Toledo.
“It is a plan to bring in 32 mercenaries to try to assassinate me and leaders of the Revolution. Álvaro Uribe Vélez, Francisco Santos and Lester Toledo have discussed it in the bunker of the house where Uribe lives,” said the Venezuelan dignitary.
He indicated that the strategy against Venezuela not only targets him as President of the Republic, but the development of violent acts aims to destabilize the nation.
“(However) here we are protected by God and with strength to overcome all violent and mercenary plans,” he said.
