Crowded Beaches, Parades and Concerts in Venezuela’s Carnival

February 25, 2020

Although the hegemonic press tries to sell the world on the idea that Venezuela is a country that is going through a serious humanitarian crisis, social networks show the reality of what the Venezuelan people live.

The main stream media portrays Venezuela as a country that's falling apart by the minute, but have a look at these images from this year's carnival celebrations. An example of this is what happened this carnival holiday, where it has been common to observe on various Twitter accounts how the beaches of our country have been crowded with seasonal travelers looking for fun and relaxation amid the harsh economic situation being faced by the majority of Venezuelans mostly as a result of illegal US sanctions.

Those who stayed in the city of Caracas took the opportunity to enjoy carnival parades and music concerts that took place in different parts of the capital, most of them organized by revolutionary mayors and governors.

But in this Caribbean country, a large number of travelers took advantage of the long weekend to visit Venezuelan beaches that are among the most beautiful in the world.
