On Monday, the Cuban government condemned the attack against the Venezuelan consulate in Portugal, after Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil denounced similar actions in several diplomatic offices in the country, and asked the international community to be “firm” against terrorism.
“We condemn the terrorist attack against the Venezuelan Consulate General in Lisbon, Portugal,” wrote Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez on his X account.
The Cuban Foreign Minister reiterated in his message “Cuba’s commitment to the fight against terrorism” and called on the international community to act “firmly against those who promote and finance these actions.”
This Saturday, Gil denounced an attack with “incendiary bombs” against the headquarters of the Venezuelan Consulate General in Lisbon, while thanking the Portuguese authorities for their “quick intervention.”
Earlier on Monday, the Venezuelan government also denounced attacks against the headquarters of the general consulates in Frankfurt (Germany), Medellín (Colombia), Vigo (Spain) and San José (Costa Rica).
“In an action coordinated by the commandos of unhinged fascism, several of our consulates have been attacked by extremists who do the same damage to our diplomatic headquarters that they want to do to our beloved Bolivarian homeland,” wrote the Venezuelan foreign minister on his Telegram channel.
