Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister Yván Gil has sharply criticized the Carter Center for moving away from the work of its founder, former US President Jimmy Carter. He added that all the work done and prestige built by the organization has been “thrown in the garbage” by spokesperson Jennie Lincoln, whom he called “a salaried employee of the US State Department.”
The Venezuelan minister said that Lincoln “lies shamelessly, none of her words correspond to reality or to Venezuelan laws.”
Carter Center’s Planned Inconsistencies Regarding Venezuela’s Presidential Elections
According to Gil, the Carter Center has lent itself to “the coup d’Ă©tat plan, supporting the most despicable electoral crimes we have seen in the Venezuelan republican era, committed by the fascist hordes. They will not return!”
The Venezuelan foreign minister also posted an image of the statements issued by the Carter Center to the AFP news agency, in which Jennie Lincoln, head of the Carter Center’s electoral observation mission, stated that “there is no evidence” of electoral hacking in Venezuela.

Since 2020, Paige Alexander has been the director of the Carter Center. She has worked for years for the CIA cutout, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and has been a consultant for the Rockefeller Foundation and the Open Society Institute of anti-communist billionaire George Soros. She is also a member of the board of the Free Russia Foundation, banned in Russia for its interventionist activity. “In short, she is an employee of the Soft Power of US Imperialism,” wrote Minister Gil.
