Venezuelan Minister for the Interior Diosdado Cabello expressed that far-right politician MarĂa Corina Machado has plans to generate violence in the country during the elections of May 25.
During the broadcast of his television program Con El Mazo Dando on Wednesday, April 9, Cabello shared information that he received about Machado and her allies “thinking of how to attack the May 25 election; they have a violent plan.”
The information further indicated that Machado has infiltrated into the lists of right-wing parties more than 40 candidates for the National Assembly.
According to the source, Machado is not interested in the state governorships, and “her main interest lies in the National Assembly because of the parliamentary immunity, the international friendship groups, the representations in the [regional bodies] Parlatino and Parlasur.”
Another source asked for looking into what is happening at the Canadian Embassy in Venezuela, since “although it is closed, I confirm that there is a lot of movement there,” and Machado insists that something is going to happen before the elections.
Cabello’s sources also pointed out that Machado showed concern when she was notified that someone called “Danielito” was leaving, that “she immediately grabbed her phone and called her operator in the municipality of Sucre, Xiomara Sierra, and told her to change her number and hide for a few days.”
False flag operation by Guyana and ExxonMobil
According to information received by Cabello, Guyana allegedly plans to launch a false flag operation in the Essequibo region in collaboration with ExxonMobil, Machado, and US mercenary Erik Prince. The scheme reportedly involves conducting a nighttime attack with helicopter gunships against one of ExxonMobil’s oil platforms. This would allow Guyanese President Irfaan Ali to “put on a show and generate an international crisis.”
Cabello also highlighted Machado’s alleged desperation following the Lightning of Catatumbo Operation, noting that “more than 16 tons of drugs that were introduced into Venezuela as part of an agreement between Machado and Colombia’s Uribe-Duque clan have been seized, and 27 drug trafficking camps were dismantled.” According to Cabello, this explains why “they are now trying to escalate the conflict through Guyana and move their operational structure to Ecuador, while Machado asks for international help to extort and pressure our military to betray the country.”
Cabello also criticized Machado for her continued attempts to asphyxiate the Venezuelan economy and her participation in a demonization campaign against migrants that enables US brutality toward Venezuelan migrants. According to Cabello, Machado harbors hatred for the Venezuelan people because they have prevented her from becoming the country’s president.
