Venezuelans celebrated International Workers’ Day with marches throughout the country, the largest of which took place in the capital, Caracas. The marchers also demanded respect for the Venezuelan migrants, who are being subjected to inhumane treatment and xenophobic violence in the United States and other countries.
The workers acknowledged the enormous effort made by the Venezuelan government to maintain the workers’ rights and living conditions in the midst of the US-led economic war and blockade against the country. They also committed themselves to continue contributing their labor force for the development of the nation.
