Leila Khaled, a historical leader of the Palestinian resistance, stated that her people will not abandon their land, nor will they be expelled from their territory. On the contrary, Palestinians will remain steadfast, as justice is on the side of the Palestinian cause.
She made this statement during her speech at the International Conference in Solidarity with Palestine on Friday, November 29, at the Aquiles Nazoa Cultural House in Caracas, Venezuela.
At the event, attendees carried photos of the victims of the Zionist aggression against Gaza that has been taking place since October 7, 2023.
Khaled specified that Palestinians are fighting against criminals of the “Tel Aviv gang” and that they are willing to “be inhabitants of the land above the earth or buried as inhabitants,” but they will never expelled from their land.
“We must remain alert because the Zionists are very violent. They are not interested in freedom,” she emphasized. “They have even shown at the United Nations a map of what they have called Greater Israel.”
“The war criminal, Netanyahu, has said that he wants to change the face of the Middle East—this is not just about exterminating the Palestinian people,” Khaled added.
The Palestinian leader also acknowledged the solidarity of the Venezuelan government and stressed that it was Commander Hugo Chávez who first brought the cause to light in Venezuela.
She further stated that President Nicolás Maduro has shown dignity by expressing his support for Palestine.
She praised Venezuela’s position, stressing that the country has become a “second homeland for Palestinians.”
“Our homelands deserve all sacrifices,” she added, acknowledging the martyrs of the Palestinian struggle and the Bolivarian Revolution.
“Martyrs do not die because they remain in our hearts, and the leader who dies in battle is not killed but ascends to heaven in battle,” she expressed.
