The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, held meetings with the presidents of Iran, Bolivia, and Vietnam who attended 16th BRICS Summit held in the Russian city of Kazan.
On Thursday, October 24, President Maduro met with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, to discuss bilateral cooperation and expansion of economic ties, “to boost the development of our strategic sectors.”
The two presidents were accompanied by their respective delegations.
The Venezuelan president also spoke with the president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, with whom he reviewed joint agreements in various areas such as oil, petrochemicals, mining, education, health, trade, communication, justice, and air travel.
Presidents Maduro and Putin Meet at 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan
Both presidents agreed on the vision of an international order based on respect, solidarity, and “cooperation without hegemony.”
President Maduro also met with the prime minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, where they addressed bilateral cooperation in strategic areas.
Earlier, on Wednesday, President Maduro held bilateral meetings with the heads of state of China, Russia, Türkiye, Palestine, Ethiopia, and Belarus, who attended the BRICS summit.
