At least twelve states in Venezuela remain on alert following the passage of tropical storm Karen, a phenomenon that travels at 20 kilometers per hour, with sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and stronger gusts.

According to the report of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh), the affected entities are: Sucre, Nueva Esparta, Delta Amacuro, Monagas, Anzoátegui, Guárico, BolĂvar, La Guaira, Miranda, Capital District, Aragua and Carabobo.
In this regard, the authorities activated the entire risk prevention system, including the VEN911 hotline, to respond to emergencies all over the Venezuelan territory.
