The Venezuelan government authorities received a new flight for the Return to the Homeland Plan, in which 168 Venezuelan migrants returned from the United States.
Among them were 151 men, 14 women, and three minors who arrived at the SimĂłn BolĂvar International Airport of MaiquetĂa, in La Guaira state, on Friday, May 9.
They were attended by a multidisciplinary team of citizen security and public health agencies to guarantee the execution of all legal security protocols and medical logistics. These procedures verify and ensure a safe environment and the reintegration of the returnees in the country’s socioeconomic development.
This is part of the Venezuelan State’s public security policy initiative, aimed at facilitating the safe and dignified return of Venezuelan citizens abroad to reunite them with their families.
Vuelta a la Patria: 315 Migrants Return to Venezuela From Mexico
On Friday, during the Sin Truco Ni Maña podcast, Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace Diosdado Cabello explained that 4,192 Venezuelans have returned through the Return to the Homeland Plan this year.
“This week, three flights have arrived,” he said. “The problem with the flights coming from the United States is that government’s lack of seriousness. They do not know what they are doing, they do not know who they are sending, they give you a list with a number and names, but when they arrive here, it is another thing.”
