A large percentage of these projects are related to integrated water management, improvements to the electrical service, and rehabilitation of educational spaces and roads.
Most of the projects approved in the second National Popular Consultation aim to improve community services, according to the report presented on Tuesday by the Minister of Communes and Social Movements, Ángel Prado, during a meeting of the spokespersons of the communes with President Nicolás Maduro.
In this regard, he explained that 22% of the approved projects relate to the comprehensive management of water; 13% to improvements in electrical service; 13% to rehabilitation of educational spaces; 11% to rehabilitation of roads; 8% to the rehabilitation of health spaces; 8% to rehabilitation of environmental spaces; and 6% to the reconstruction of retaining walls.
These results were provided with 96% of the minutes counted, indicated the minister, who reported that some rural areas were missing.
He also specified that the number of territories rose to 4,508, since three new communal circuits were formed.

Day of popular reunion
“Sunday was a day of popular reunion,” said Prado. “It was a day on which all the revolutionary forces of the country met again. They agreed on the need to deepen the Bolivarian Revolution.” Prado noted that even those who do not agree on all aspects of politics participated in the process for the interest of resolving common problems.
He also affirmed that the Venezuelan people today celebrate this method and defend their democracy.
“25 years after the revolution, we can say that we are establishing solid bases to build our own democracy,” he said.
The head of communes reported that they are finishing projects and preparing to start new ones, and confirmed that the resources for the projects will be received starting this week.
The head of communes pointed out that progress towards great changes and transformations is materializing and the people are empowering themselves in this process: “The revolution will definitely become irreversible. We are moving towards territorial socialism. We believe in that, and the conditions in the country today, politically, economically, socially, and spiritually, are available to definitively build the commune in Venezuela as a structure of self-government.”
