From the SimĂłn BolĂvar Park in La Carlota, Caracas, Venezuelan authorities reported a summary of the Happy and Safe Carnivals 2025, an operation deployed nationwide to provide joy, recreation, and fun to the Venezuelan people. Venezuelan Defense Minister Diosdado Cabello noted that this successful deployment had the support of 190,000 officials from law enforcement agencies.
“Today we can tell the country and the president that the mission entrusted to all state security agencies has been fulfilled without incident,” he said this Wednesday, March 5, “it has been fulfilled in accordance with the goals and challenges that we have set ourselves.”
Various activities were held throughout the country as part of this festivity, including float parades and concerts in Carúpano, Cumaná, Falcón, and La Guaira, to provide recreation for the Venezuelan people.
More than 190,000 security agents deployed
Vice President Delcy RodrĂguez congratulated the deployed security officials for their impeccable work, in charge of a number of 190,495 officers, who were deployed throughout the national territory to guarantee safe and peaceful carnivals.
“These officers were present in all areas, road safety, highways, motorways, and all recreational areas, on beaches, rivers, and mountains, responding to contingencies,” said RodrĂguez. “We truly feel honoured to have you, men and women in uniform, for having guaranteed tranquillity and safe carnivals.”
The top official highlighted and congratulated the work of the teams of reenactors and festival workers who entertained more than 4.3 million people across numerous different public events.
Vice President RodrĂguez highlighted the beauty of Venezuelan environments, describing them as unique in the world. “Whoever tells me that there is one Canaima or another Canaima in the world is lying,” she said, “it is unique in the world, it is a space, a universal beauty.”
Increase in the number of vacationers reached 37.77%
The number of vacationers in Venezuela increased by 37.77% this year as compared with 2024, which means a number of 6,247,933 people had come to visit all around the country to enjoy the carnival festivities, said RodrĂguez.
The ten states most visited by the Venezuelan travelers during the carnivals were La Guaira, FalcĂłn, Anzoátegui, Miranda, Aragua, BolĂvar, Distrito Capital, Sucre, Carabobo, and Lara state.
The beaches with the most visitors were El Agua beach, Pantaleta beach, Parguito beach, Macuto, El Yaque, Camuruchico, Mochima, Higuerote, Cuyagua, BahĂa de Cata, and ChoronĂ.
Venezuelan Tourism Minister: Venezuela and Russia Plan to Increase Air Connectivity
In 2025, the hotel service, compared to 2024, had a growth of 61.5%. “These are good numbers for the tourism sector,” RodrĂguez explained, “because President Nicolás Maduro has asked us to promote tourism activity, because it is a possibility of income in foreign currency for the country, and it is also a possibility of enjoyment for Venezuelans.”
National commercial activity was also reported to have increased considerably by 26.15%, as compared with 2024, demonstrating high commercialization of goods and services, reflected in the collection of taxes directed to the social protection system of Venezuelans.
RodrĂguez also noted that there was a 64.7% growth in transactions carried out compared to last year: this year there were 178.8 million transactions, versus 108 million in 2024.
