Venezuela doubled its exports to China in 2024, exporting more than 50 tons of products in the last quarter of 2024, reported the minister of fisheries and aquaculture of Venezuela, Juan Carlos Loyo.
On Friday, November 8, during the 7th China International Import Expo 2024 (CIIE), held in Shanghai, Minister Loyo highlighted that the increase in exports came about due to trade agreements signed in the framework of the strategic alliance between the two countries.
The minister participated in the 7th China International Import Expo 2024 (CIIE) representing Venezuela.
In this regard, he added that Venezuela is participating in the fair with three main objectives:
- Bringing non-traditional products made in Venezuela to the Chinese market.
- Strengthening the ties of friendship between the two countries.
- Confirming that Venezuela remains China’s closest partner in all of America.
Minister Loyo reported that Venezuela is participating in the fair with 64 companies and 100 business representatives.
So far, Venezuela and China have signed several agreements that will contribute to increasing shipments and the growth of trade relations.
“In the case of fishing, several agreements have been signed, and there is a lot of interest from the Chinese market in learning about Venezuelan products, fishing and aquaculture,” the minister said.
The 7th China International Import Expo 2024 is being attended by representatives of more than 128 countries and 1,000 leading entities in their industries.
Venezuela has also met with representatives of companies who have expressed their interest in investing in the country.
The Venezuelan delegation has shown them the benefits that the country has to offer, not only the wealth of natural resources but also the talent and creativity of Venezuelans.
