Héctor Constant Rosales, permanent representative of Venezuela to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the International Criminal Court (ICC), and other courts and organizations in The Hague, Netherlands, held a meeting with the ambassador of Yemen and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in The Hague, Sahar Ghanem, with whom he reviewed the situation in West Asia. Constant expressed his wishes for peace in that region.
“A long and very pleasant conversation with Sahar Ghanem, Ambassador of Yemen and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in The Hague,” wrote Constant on social media. “We reviewed the situation in the Middle East and hope for a prompt and permanent peace.”

On several occasions, Venezuela has advocated for the construction of peace with justice, as desired by most countries in the world.
In this way, Venezuela continues to advance in Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, which determines its relations with countries of the world based on mutual respect, as well as the participation of diplomatic representatives in multilateral spaces and the condemnation of the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime, including the recent genocide against Palestinians in Gaza after the October 7, 2023, Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
Yemen’s heroism
The Yemeni leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said the following on October 10, 2023, three days after the beginning of the Israeli genocide: “Our people are ready to send hundreds of thousands of mujahideen to Palestine. Okay, geography might pose a problem. It could be a problem for our people to go there in large numbers. Nevertheless, and despite all the obstacles, we will not hesitate to do whatever we can. We are completely coordinated with our brothers in the Jihad and resistance front to do anything and everything that we can do.”
Since Abdul-Malik al-Houthi’s proclamation, Yemen’s Ansarallah movement, under his leadership, has undergone a remarkable transformation. Ansarallah’s maritime reach has surpassed all initial expectations, and now extends to the shores of the Indian Ocean in its ambitious plan to besiege the Israeli entity by targeting the occupation state’s shipping interests until there is peace for Palestinians.
Yemen’s strategic position, as well as its incommensurable heroism, not only serves as a beacon of hope for Palestinians enduring Israel’s aggression but has become a crucial pillar in The Resistance’s fight against US hegemonic machinations in West Asia. In late February, al-Houthi vowed to expand the scope of attacks against Israeli-linked vessels, stating, “We have surprises that the enemies do not expect at all,” before announcing the successful testing of a new hypersonic missile. This resolve has not been altered even under US and UK air strikes attempting to stop them.
