The National Electoral Council (CNE) of Venezuela conducted two audits of the automated voting system on Saturday, July 26, as part of the audit processes for the municipal elections on July 27.
The vice president of the CNE, Carlos Quintero, announced that on Monday, July 28, three more audits will be conducted after the voting has completed, to confirm the technical accuracy of the process.
He further explained that the audits allow for the validation of the mock voting, the transmission of data, and its correspondence with the tallying system.
“They are scientific proofs that can be technically demonstrated. Each political organization safeguards its chain of trust, which translates into the security and transparency of the results,” he expressed.
