On Monday, November 4, the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) declared inadmissible a constitutional appeal filed against the National Electoral Council (CNE) by the Popular Democratic Front (FDP.)
The appeal was introduced on October 30 by lawyer María Alejandra Díaz, in which they alleged that the CNE supposedly omitted the publication of the electoral results of July 28.
However, through ruling 0603 the TSJ considered that the appeal was inadmissible after considering it reckless.
Likewise, the Constitutional Chamber of the TSJ ordered the Disciplinary Court of the Bar Association to initiate a disciplinary procedure against María Alejandra Díaz.
Additionally, the court imposed on Díaz a fine equivalent to 100 times the official exchange rate of the highest value currency established by the BCV, which she must pay within five days.
Therefore, Díaz is temporarily suspended from her professional duties until the disciplinary procedure is completed.

The measure against Díaz is given for the “serious allegations noted in this constitutional protection action, which question and disrespect the power held by the Electoral Chamber and the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice, and also seek to generate anxiety and commotion in the population.”
This appeal was filed by economist Andrés Giussepe; former presidential candidate Enrique Márquez; leader of the Popular Historical Block, José Luis Ibrahim; Carlos Ojeda and Oscar Figuera of the Communist Party of Venezuela; Eduardo Sánchez of the Workers Union of the Central University of Venezuela; and Juan Barreto of Redes.
It is noteworthy that on October 11, the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court ratified the ruling of the Electoral Chamber of August 22, which confirmed the electoral victory of Nicolás Maduro with 52% of the votes.
After the election results were announced, more than 40 countries recognized the victory of President Nicolás Maduro, who will be sworn in for a new term on January 10, 2025.
