Venezuela’s Independence 200 Plan for Active Resistance and Permanent Offensive is an act of “advancement of all actions to elevate the operational readiness of the Bolivarian National Armed Force [FANB], given the military threat” from the United States, declared Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López.
He highlighted that, as part of the invasion threats, the US has deployed ships in the Caribbean and “is constantly making incendiary statements, with a psychological operation in full swing to undermine the morale of the Venezuelan people, but it is no easy task.”
He also pointed out that these actions are aimed at dividing the FANB, which is impossible due to its higher purpose. That purpose is called “the homeland,”said the minister, adding that it is the first thing that calls upon those who enlist in Venezuela’s military institutes and academies.

Padrino López added that all components of the FANB are in a phase of permanent mobilization deployment, incorporating the people of Venezuela into the call to join the Bolivarian National Militia, “which has reached a number exceeding eight million.”
He highlighted the success of “the mobilization of the heavy systems of the FANB, which have been deployed according to plan” and reported that 284 battle-ready positions have been “ascertained and georeferenced throughout the national territory.”
