The vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, highlighted the participatory features of Venezuela’s democracy.
During a press conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV, Cabello stated that the people of Venezuela on Sunday carried out a “day for history” during the election of justices of the peace.
“Yesterday, Venezuela lived an extraordinary day, one of those days to remember, to go down in history, to make us feel proud of the level of our participatory and leading democracy, of our people,” said Cabello.
Cabello stressed that the Venezuelan model is one of true democracy, which will be strengthened and “which will have bases with extraordinary solidity to continue advancing and deepening the popular power more and more every day, that it is the people who decide. It will not be the economic groups, the oligarchy.”
Cabello noted that the electoral day was carried out in peace and without any kind of inconvenience.
He added that this day was possible because “the executioners, the haters of always, did not participate.”
In his speech, Diosdado Cabello recognized the work of the National Electoral Council (CNE) and the Plan República, which supported this democratic celebration.
He also announced that this Monday, throughout the country, the results in the recent elections will be announced by the Circular Electoral Commissions, which has five members of the People’s Power.
The minister also highlighted the participation of the indigenous population in these elections, after remembering that of the 5,297 communal circuits that exist, 436 are in their territory.
Maximum mobilization in view of 10E
On the other hand, Cabello urged all revolutionaries to promote popular organization and maximum mobilization for next January 10.
The leader of the PSUV recalled that there are 25 days left until President Nicolás Maduro is sworn in.
In this regard, he warned that the bandits of the opposition want to generate violence but assured that “they will not be able to.”
“We have our tasks clear, and we will carry them out to the letter,” said Cabello.
