The vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, condemned the Venezuelan far-right politician María Corina Machado’s alleged plans to create unrest in the country and ruin the December festivities.
During the broadcast of his program Con el Mazo Dando on Wednesday, December 11, Cabello, who is also the minister for the Interior, Justice and Peace, read a letter sent to him by a Venezuelan, stating that in the coming weeks, a “very severe psychological war” will be launched to instill fear in the Venezuelan population.
The psychological war, orchestrated by María Corina Machado, is to take place ahead of President Nicolás Maduro’s swearing-in ceremony, scheduled for January 10.
Cabello’s source detailed that the far-right sector associated with Machado is establishing parameters to attack the public psyche and has reactivated bot farms for this campaign.
“There will again be attacks against the Bolivarian National Armed Force, reports on supposed fights within the Chavista leadership, attacks on the economy, and the incitement for migration from Venezuela,” the source specified.
The letter further stated that Machado and her cronies will not rest during the December festivities, as their goal is “to mess up the country, generate chaos, and present Venezuela as a failed state.”
The source added that the plan is being organized from Colombia, northeastern Brazil, and some radical sectors in the United States.
María Corina Machado Is Now Threatening Venezuela’s Stability Through Social Media
Diosdado Cabello condemned the ongoing psychological operation fabricated by Machado, in which she accuses the Venezuelan government of violating human rights.
“First, on December 6, María Corina Machado demanded the release of a detainee in Tocorón prison named Carlos Eduardo Valecillos, who was arrested during the protests in July this year,” Cabello said in this regard. “She claimed that this citizen had been threatened and beaten. Two days later, on December 8, they themselves killed him, just like they did with Leopoldo López, because this gentleman is alive and well, but they turned the case into a show because this material is fuel for their international media.”
Cabello added that María Corina Machado is in charge of a plan to fabricate a file of supposed human rights violations committed by the Venezuelan state to take to international governments to ask for sanctions against Venezuela.
Communal justice candidates threatened
Cabello also reported that law enforcement is searching for all those who have threatened the candidates in the election for communal justices of peace.
“It is the mafias, the terrorists, those who do not want the people to have power,” he criticized.
