The Venezuelan far-right operative and fugitive from justice IvĂĄn Simonovis, known for leading terrorist actions against Venezuela, suggested using “Israeli technology” to assassinate the president of Venezuela, NicolĂĄs Maduro.
Simonovis wrote on his social media that January 10, 2025, â is the deadline for NicolĂĄs Maduro,â and assured the president that he is in âhis final phase.â
Recall that on January 10, 2025, NicolĂĄs Maduro will be sworn in before the National Assembly (AN) as re-elected president after winning the July 28 presidential elections.
In his social media post, the representative of the Venezuelan far-right opposition mentioned the attack carried out by Israeli forces against the Islamist group Hezbollah which ended the life of its top leader, Hassan Nasrallah.
Simonovis recalled with apparent pride the Israeli terrorist attack using thousands of walkie-talkie devices exploding simultaneously. He added that with this attack, Israeli occupation forces “neutralized 42 terrorists and put 1,500 Hezbollah members out of action.”
“The new generation of warfare is not just about confrontations or crossing borders, it is direct, punctual, and cybernetic,” warned the fugitive from justice. In addition to his crimes, Simonovis has been accused as acting as an operative of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in Venezuela for decades.
To conclude his post, Simonovis repeated his threat by assuring that âwithout a doubt, cobraremos.â The term cobraremos is used in Spanish as a threat aiming at letting your adversary know that you will pay for your actions.
Opposition Operative IvĂĄn Simonovis Distances Himself From ‘Ya Casi Venezuela’ Coup Plot
IvĂĄn Simonovis has a long record of destabilization actions against Venezuela, including his participation in the murder of civilians during the failed right-wing coup against President Hugo ChĂĄvez (April 2002). He was serving a sentence for these acts from 2004 to 2019. In June 2019, he fled from house arrest.
He was also involved in the failed mercenary incursion known as Operation GideĂłn, carried out on May 3, 2020, which aimed to overthrow and assassinate President NicolĂĄs Maduro.
More recently, Simonovis has become an active promoter of the new scam promoted by the Venezuelan US based far-right, referred to as âYa Casi Venezuela” (“almost Venezuela”).
Initially, the fugitive from justice asked the so-called Venezuelan âdiasporaâ to contribute money to the mercenary adventure, led by Blackwater founder and former US Navy Seal Erik Prince, which aims to undermine the peace of the country and assassinate the top leaders of the Bolivarian Revolution. However, in recent days, he has distanced himself, at least publicly, from the mercenary plot.
