Happy Christmas Plan: Toys Delivered in Caracas (Photos)

December 24, 2020

This Wednesday, the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, led the delivery of toys in the barrio Cota 905, a populous neighborhood in the center-south of Caracas, and in the El Valle parish of the same city, as part of the Happy Christmas Plan that the Executive advanced during the holiday season.

At Cota 905, Rodríguez transmitted a message “of joy and happiness” from President Nicolás Maduro, and indicated that despite the difficulties the country is going through, both due to the pandemic and the suffering caused by illegal US sanctions, there was nothing stopping them from putting a smile on the faces of children, whom she called” the future of the country.”

“The national government is working for you so that nothing can stop the happiness of our boys and girls, who received their gifts with love and joy as part of the Happy Christmas Plan 2020, to keep Christmas traditions and provide social security to the people,” she said.

“In the midst of the difficulties due to the global pandemic, due to COVID-19, and the criminal blockade against Venezuela, the Bolivarian Government led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, guarantees a happy Christmas to thousands of children of Venezuela who will receive a toy with joy, and in peace,” she said.

According to the Minister of National Commerce, Eneida Laya, who also participated in the activity, the Bolivarian Government has “distributed over 9 million toys in the 24 states of the country, reaching the communities thanks to the governments, mayors and the CLAPs.”
