This Wednesday, February 10, the board of the Preliminary Commission for the Electoral Nominations Committee of the National Assembly (AN), announced that the contest for candidates to be rectors on the National Electoral Council (CNE) will run between February 22 and 28.
Deputy Giuseppe Alessandrello, president of the Commission, announced that the decision was made during the first meeting as a formal committee. “We decided on the directive and it was ratified, so we advanced on the operating regulations that will be presented tomorrow, and we talked about art of the call that will be sent to the media this Friday about the application process,” he said.

He added that in the first week of April, the nominees will be presented to the AN plenary session. “I want to highlight that up to now we have perceived an atmosphere of harmony among those of us who understand the Committee, including civil society. The decisions taken have been unanimous and consensual,” he added.
