
The Government of Norway has sent a delegation to Venezuela in order to explore the current situation in the Caribbean country in the political and humanitarian fields.
Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide, released the information in a statement published by the Nasdaq website.
A Foreign Ministry spokesperson also confirmed the information, and that the delegation has been designated to explore the situation in the South American country.

The spokesperson said, “We can confirm that a Norwegian delegation is visiting Caracas, in order to obtain an update on the political and humanitarian situation in Venezuela.”
The information provided by the Norwegian Foreign Ministry did not disclose anything about a possible resumption of the so-called “Norwegian mechanism,” with the purpose of re-establishing a dialogue between Nicolás Maduro’s administration and the extreme right opposition.
