Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro said that Venezuela’s seas are open to cooperation with Russia in building a new world where there is peace and independence for the people. He made this statement during his visit to the Admiral Vladimirsky ocean research vessel, which arrived in Venezuela this Saturday at the Port of La Guaira.
“We appreciate your visit to reaffirm the path of joint work between the Russian and Venezuelan military forces,” the Venezuelan president said this Sunday, April 13.
Maduro emphasized that Venezuela and Russia are becoming closer every day. In this context, he reflected on the historical relations between the two nations, adding that Russia currently sets the pace for a new world that is emerging with a great leader, President Putin.
The Venezuelan president took the opportunity to send special greetings to his Russian counterpart and all of its military forces.
During the welcoming ceremony for the oceanic scientific vessel Admiral Vladimirsky of the Russian Navy’s Baltic Fleet, President Maduro was received by the crew with honors corresponding to his investiture. As part of the tour, he signed the visitors’ book, writing a dedication to President Vladimir Putin and the Russian people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, commemorating the Great Patriotic War victory against Nazi Germany on May 9.
