Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro arrived in Algeria on an official visit after participating in the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia.
On Friday, October 25, President Maduro held a meeting with the prime minister of Algeria, Mohamed Nadir Larbaoui, where they discussed bilateral relations.
“This meeting marks a significant step in the relations between the two countries,” the Venezuelan Presidential Press noted in an Instagram post.

The two heads of state were accompanied by their respective delegations at the meeting.
Algeria and Venezuela have maintained diplomatic relations since 1971. The two countries have signed over 20 agreements in various fields, including culture, energy, commerce, science and technology, communication, transportation, and education.
