Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro expressed his satisfaction with the start of the World Antifascist Parliamentary Forum, welcoming representatives from over 70 countries participating in the event taking place between November 4 and 5 in Caracas.
This Monday, November 4, through his Instagram account, the Venezuelan president also urged people to “raise the flags of love” and the future, describing the forum as “the epicenter of the fight against fascism and colonialism.”
The Forum
The event, which takes place at the Parque Bolívar Convention Center located in La Carlota, Caracas, aims to delve into the causes of the resurgence of fascism in the 21st century and analyze the different ways people resist domination.
Some of the topics to be addressed at the event are parliamentary democracy for peace; the relationship between imperialism, fascism, and Zionism; blockades and coercive measures imposed on several countries; defense of human rights; legislation against fascism, neofascism and similar expressions; social media, new technologies, and cognitive warfare against peoples; among others.
The conference will analyze forms of aggression by imperialism that manifest themselves through neocolonialism and the extermination of entire populations.
