The Russian ambassador to Venezuela, Vladimir Zaemskiy, highlighted on Monday the bilateral and multidimensional cooperation that the Russian Federation holds with our country in different areas.
During the activity of combined operational flights between Russia and Venezuela 2018 , held in the Vargas state, Zaemskiy said that a new meeting of the Russian-Venezuelan Intergovernmental Commission is being prepared.
“This is going to be a new effort to start new projects, projects that will provide a great assistance to the development of mutually beneficial relations between Russia and Venezuela,” he said in a broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
In that sense, the Russian ambassador said that cooperation between the two nations has examples of collaboration in different scenes.
“One of the areas of our cooperation is the technical-military cooperation that is developing in a very fruitful way in recent years,” he said.
He added that the multifaceted cooperation between the Eurasian country and Venezuela was initiated by Commander Hugo Chávez in 2005, after several meetings he had as the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
For his part, the Lieutenant General of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Sergey Ivanovich, thanked the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino Lopez, and the Russian ambassador, for the initiative to resume flights to Venezuelan territory.
