The foreign affairs minister of Venezuela, Yván Gil, met with the international observers invited to the second National Popular Consultation of 2024 which will be held on Sunday, August 25.
“Today we spoke with the international observers invited to the second National Popular Consultation in which the people will exercise their democracy by selecting priority projects for their communities, projects that will be financed by the government,” Minister Gil published in his Telegram account on Saturday, August 24.
He added that he also condemned before the observers “the cyber-fascist and criminal coup attempt that Venezuela is facing, orchestrated by the right wing and the United States, is an attack that we will defeat by exercising greater popular democracy.”

The Second National Popular Consultation of 2024 will be held on Sunday for the communities to elect their priority projects including water supply, education, electricity, and transport.
All Venezuelans age 15 and older can participate in the consultation.
During this consultation, the people will elect priority projects in 4,500 communal circuits which include more than 49,000 communal councils.
