Venezuelan Minister for the Interior, Justice and Peace Remigio Ceballos reviewed the security strategies for the upcoming presidential elections with the chiefs of the Police Coordination Centers of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) and the directors of the state and municipal police forces at the Multipurpose Hall of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian National Guard (AMGNB) in Caracas.
According to a ministry press release, the citizen security bodies will be deployed throughout the country to guarantee public order and security during the electoral process.

Minister Ceballos stated, “Venezuela has changed and advanced in terms of citizen security for the protection and well-being of the Venezuelan people… We have established a great work team with great directions as part of the Great Peace Quadrants Mission, created and directed by our President Nicolás Maduro Moros, to directly combat crime in all its expressions.”

He added that these coordinated actions, along with the national security plan, Plan RepĂşblica, are aimed at maintaining internal order and are necessary to detect any situation that may disturb the security of the elections or attempts to disturb peace during the process.
Minister Ceballos highlighted that the Venezuelan government has 21 action protocols endorsed by the Supreme Court of Justice, the Attorney General’s Office, the Public Defense, and the Ombudsperson’s Office to guarantee human rights, security, and justice in the actions of the police and security bodies.
