In this application process, we highlight the plural and democratic participation of:
• 36 organizations with national political purposes [political parties].
• 10 regional organizations.
• 3 national indigenous organizations.
• 5 regional indigenous organizations.
In total, 54 political organizations have nominated candidates, demonstrating the breadth of the national political spectrum.
A total of 36,986 applications were received, corresponding to 6,687 candidates, with gender-balanced participation:
• 53.93% men,
• 46.07% women.
Complying with the principle of gender parity established by electoral regulations.
Likewise, a notable increase in participation compared to previous elections was observed, reflecting renewed interest in the elections among all political sectors in the country:
At the same time, the National Electoral Council continues to conduct audits of the electoral system, with the participation of experts from political organizations. This is part of the guarantees that allow political parties to monitor and verify each phase of the electoral process, consolidating the chain of trust and the transparency of the electoral system.
We remind voters that the electoral campaign will officially begin on April 29th, during which candidates will present their proposals to the country.
We also want to inform you that we are moving forward with the schedule for the Second National Popular Consultation 2025, which will be held next Sunday, April 27, to select projects in 5,336 Communal Districts. We extend an invitation to everyone to actively participate in this exercise of direct democracy.
Finally, we reaffirm that we have fully complied with each phase planned to date and remain in permanent session, evaluating and deciding what is necessary to ensure the continuity of the electoral process.
We call on the Venezuelan people to participate in this historic election on May 25th, during which we will elect deputies to the National Assembly, as well as governors and legislators to the Legislative Councils of the country’s 24 states.
