WFTU Denounces New USA Ploy Against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (Statement)
March 27, 2020.- The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), representing 100 million workers who live and work in 130 countries around the world, denounces to the international community the new trick of the United States government that, through shameless lies, as expressed by its Department of Justice, creates false accusations about alleged links of the legitimate Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro and other top state officials with drug trafficking.
This action constitutes an aggression and an immoral action, even more in the midst of a world pandemic of the most serious that have been known in the contemporary era. Furthermore, it adds to a series of systematic violations by the United States and its imperialist partners of any concept of international law.
The true objective of the imperialists is to plunder the resources and wealth of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, imposing their puppets, like Guaidó, as the head of the state.
In this sense, the big class-oriented union family of the WFTU will continue struggling against imperialism, mobilizing every single worker against capitalist exploitation, while defending the right of each people to decide for themselves, without interference and outside interventions on their present and future.
Venezuela is not alone!
